The Trust does not have any fixed income from properties and is reliant entirely on donations from the public.
The main source of fundraising is limited to the following activities:
Board Members: The Board goes out on collection drives.
Rand a Day: The Trust has two fulltime collectors
Qurbani: The annual donation of qurbani meat
The Kabrastan Collection: Annually at Eid Time.
In the past five years the donations from the public have been affected by the economic down turn and whilst it is easier to collect Zakaat funds the donation of Lillah has declined dramatically. This has made it increasingly more difficult to sustain the Trust and its activities.
